avoid UVL bulbs. i have super actinics on my tank and one of them burned out prematurely (under 4 months use). a good number of people on reefcentral complained of the issue.
as far as actinics are concerned, i believe ATI's version of the super actinics (whatever they're called) registered higher PAR than any other bulb.
