You coming on the 5th? I still have you QT set up rattling around in the back of the car.

:confused2: As long as the end result in DIAMONDS, keep the QT rattling around as long as it takes. I'm planning on coming up on the 5th. I still have some certificates to deal with, not sure what I want yet. Tanks with water in them here are pretty limited for now.

Does a sump count for livestock? Seems the certificates are "livestock only". I'm wondering if it will fly; a place a piece of my liverock into a sump at your local fish store. Then I carry the sump up to the counter and hand them my certificate. Whatja think? Will it work? :D :D :fish::fish:

I was at Macon Pets last early last Saturday. My 1st visit. I picked up some Atlanta ____ Snails and they are doing well. I picked up some peppermint shrimp from the other store to battle aiptasia. I was told the shrimp would eat the aiptasia. I'm still waiting to see that happen.

Its great that you are doing your research. PH and temperature swings are not good for shrimp. Water changes in smaller tanks could cause disasters to shrimp. Macon Pets did have a few different shrimp when I was there last weekend. There were some coral banded shrimp there, one of my favorite. The coral banded shrimp are good cleaners of fish where they will even clean away some unwanted pests from the fish in the tank.

I hope this was helpful information. If you go to Macon Pets, try to go early. That is when I went and I talked with a lady whom seemed to be knowledgeable.

Tested all again
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
Nitrate 0.5
SG 1.025/35
pH 8.1- how do I raise this? It's consistently low... Doesn't matter which test I use... I've dosed with the kent marine nano a and nano b 2x also... Any idea if that will help pH? I only have tested at night just before lights out and I really don't have much algae... Ideas?

I've been at 8.1 the whole time... Even newly mixed its 8.1... Guess I'll just stick to it :D

I'm getting a couple of frags tomorrow... I use instant ocean and other than the oh, I really like it so far

Can we have the LFS in Tucker move to Macon? Or better yet, just have all of the LFS in the Atlanta area move to Macon. Then you 'll can drive down here to visit our local fish stores. That would be wonderful.

Since all of the LFS are now in Macon, we can start having our monthly meetings here instead of Atlanta. Whatja think, Rich. Sounds like a plan! :lol2:

Got some critters in today... My emerald didn't make it :-( I've sent an email to them though. I got a rock anemone and I wasn't sure if it made it so while acclimating I squirted some brine shrimp and it closed up and is eating them :-) super excited... Will post pics once I get them in the tank... All dripping right now

Be careful of what you add in the future in regards to soft or hard corals. You anemone could destroy other corals. I haven't place one in my tank for that reason.

I think I'll hold off for now... I really want a shrimp next... I was thinking either two cleaner shrimp or a goby/ pistol shrimp pair to round out my tank.

What do you guys think?

Gapisces;859486 wrote: The rock anemone doesn't usually wander and likes to stay mostly buried in the sand
That's great information. Some people purchase an anemone to find out later that the anemone has destroyed some corals. It's great that your anemone won't move around the tank a lot.
