New Fuge/QT/grow out setup for my 210

Would love some ideas for plumbing this. It's 2 40b that I'm adding to my system. I have a hang on the back filter for the qt but would like to figure a way to make it easy to transfer water from my display to it for easy water changes. Thoughts/suggestions?

1) Make the bottom your QT
2) drain the top (fuge) to the sump (gravity)
3) put a manifold on the return to feed the fuge and allow you to put new water into the QT.

The only issue that remains is how to get water out of the QT. Because it is so low, siphoning is going to be very slow, or impractical. Do you have one of those Python syphon systems that hooks up to the faucet?

Was thinking something similar but started thinking the fuge may be better on bottom b/c I won't have to access it as much (not as much in and out) and I won't have to take water directly out of it b/c it's ties into the main system.

but you also wont use your qt as much once you get fish into display you want, and if its a display macro tank who wants to lay down on floor to see it?

For stability in the flow of water, you are going to want gravity to handle the drain of the fuge. I don't know what your sump looks like, but unless it is in the basement, you may have problems.

What rack are you using to hold the two 40br?

i would use the bottom as a sump and pump from the sump into the top tank and make a display refugium and frag system in top tank ,, could isolate it if needed for qt
