So this is my first post :-) well I just moved from Colorado (just got out of the Army) and starting up a small 10 gallon nano tank.I had a 55 in Colorado but sold it before I moved. Well my 55 was a FOWLR besides one bubble tip I had in there. Well on the 10 gallon I'm starting I would like to make it a reef tank. Nothing crazy just some zoas and mushrooms. I was looking to get some tips in starting the reef tank as far as water parameters. I would like to stay as natural as possible not using bottles upon bottles of expensive chemicals. The only thing I need to start it live sand and a piece or 2 of live rock. I have 10 gallon tank and stand, Rio nano filter/skimmer,korila 230gph power head,heater,T-5 light, 8 lbs of base rock.

sounds like you are off to a good start. I wouldn't worry about using any chemicals in a tank that small, especially if you only plan on keeping softies. Weekly waterchanges should do the trick. I kept a five gallon nano for a few years with zoas and LPS, and never dosed it a single time. Welcome and good luck!!

Really? Awesome! So like 10% water changes a week and that's it?

Maybe more like 20-25%. The corals you listed aren't picky. Just get some good salt and start her up.

Welcome.. My only recommendation would be, use a GOOD salt with tons of trace elements. A "reef" salt.
