And I don't know why nobody ever told me how awesome these nanocubes are. I'm very happy with it. I've moved some rock, and bits of the corals I'm keeping ( the rest I'll sell/give away). A few of the snails have been moved, and the clownfish was too dumb to hide so I scooped him up too. He seems very pleased in there today.

A few questions; this is the 28g nanocube. Should I remove the media basket entirely, or just remove the carbon and replace with ceramic doodads? Do you guys think getting the optional skimmer would be a good idea, or am I small enough to do weekly changes instead? It won't ever be stocked to the gills, (hah, a fishy pun), but I'm thinking with a new baby I might be better safe than sorry.

And a final one; algae magnets/scrapers. I've never dealt with an acrylic tank before. What's the best/safest way to wipe the glass clean?

Do not, I repeat, do not stock it with a new baby. You are asking for trouble. Oh, you meant you are having a new baby at the same time. Never mind. :lol2:

Looking forward to hear some people chime in here because I have a feeling there will come a day when I have one in my master bedroom. :-)

That's OK. I don't red too gooder either. :-) Congrats on the new baby. Kids will drive you nuts but I wouldn't trade my three daughters for nuttin. Well maybe a cool frag or fish but....... :-)

Forgot; here's a photo so far. I may add a couple of small rocks in the back just for extra hiding places but I'm pretty much done I think.

Hey!

Glad the new tank is up and running.

I personally would run Matrix, carbon, Purigen and live rock in the sump of an AIO

Forget the skimmer, wont do enough to really help, and you're certainly an accomplished reefer, you'll see an issue coming before it becomes a nightmare.

Congrats on the tank and congrats on the bambino(a)

Magic eraser all the way! Just make sure it's the original.
