Hello everybody. I decided to get back into this hobby (vice) after being gone 15 years or so. My how things have changed. I never do things moderately so I just picked up a used 200 gallon tank this weekend. It will be a project but one I think I am up to. A couple (of many to come) questions. Included with the set up I got was an Ocean Clear Filter and and Oceanic 150 Trickle Filter. Should I even consider either of these in my set up or just go with something new? I plan on having my tank be fish and invertebrates, I dont plan on having any coral. I would like to use them since I have them but if they are not worth my time, then so be it.

Secondly, I plan on putting the tank along a bearing wall. Should I reinforce the structure underneath it?

Also, any recommendations on an RO unit? That's it for now. I am sure I will have more later. Anybody in the Cumming area want to come by and give me some pointers on the system? Thanks, Dave

I agree with blu on filtration. Definately reinforce the floor underneath, i have a 210 and all together with sump/equip its just under 3,000 lbs on a relatively small footprint. better safe than sorry..

lots of RODI threads in this forum recently with lots of good recommendations, run a search and you should find what you need.

Welcome!
