I think people turn them up too much and lose color- I know 1 person who was running a similar size tank as mine and had whites @65% and colors faded fast-
I currently run mine blues 85% and white 37%-

I agree.... I bumped mine down a bit today

Got mine here. Love the look and clean hanging wire rope. Corals love it.

I'll be adding a third fixture Friday, provided it is delivered on time.

Corals are still growing well. SPS are still encrusting the plug / glue

Palmer, what type of corals do you have in your tank if I might ask

My leds are bridgelux which is what reef breeders and ocean revive use I believe. I run my whites at roughly 25% and blues at 85%. I also run 3 250 watt xm 20k on the tank for 4 hours a day. I never has color issues due to lighting.

I have SPS, acans and LPS-
Everything is from frags and growing nicely-

3 month update on coral growth.
I have to pull the corals out to get good color w led, but you should see the growth.

Again. 3 months... EVEN with fighting red bugs

Again.... Redbug a kinda stunk me up a while, but I think I'm back on the right track now.

So far I can say these lights appear to be adequate to grow sps.

That being said I need more time to see how much color returns after the aefw ordeal.

Thanks for looking
Oh. I'm running at 90 blue and 40 white

I haven't reached the point so that the corals are really growing exponentially, but I think it will happen as they grow a few more branches and get a little more surface area

I think your good staying at 90/40. You not dipping your corals before they go in?

Hey man. I'm hitting them 2 things.
1: I added a Malanarus wrasse and a yellow coris wrasse

2: I've been dosing KZ flatworm stop.

Oh ... And 3 since all the corals are on plugs and not permamounted yet I did pull them all and dipped them with Coral RX

Thanks for the question

Toss the coral rx and do bayer dip. 5ml per 1 cup of tank water for 15 minutes.

One more thing w these lights. They appear to give better results when mounted higher. At one time I had then 8 or so inches off the water and the LED seemed too focused on the sand bed. Right now they are 18" off the water surface and it seems right.

I think you can remove optics, but I didn't want to go that route if possible
