Ocotopus skimmer help.

Hey Guys and Gals,

I picked up a reef octopus nwb 200 for my 120 gal and can't seem to get any "froth." The water in the skimmer is white with bubbles but it doesn't seem to be building any froth. I'm confused and look forward to any suggestions.

How long has it been running? - if not long, it just needs to "break in"....needs some time.

How deep is the water in your sump? Do you have it adjusted to the right hieght, you want the water level to be almost to the bottom of the collection cup. Hope this helps. I have the reef octupus 150, mine likes to be in about 8.5" of water to really work good.

Alright I found the problem!! The fitting for the air line going to the silencer was stopped up and wasnt allowing any air into the pump. Its skimming now!!!

I'd take that silencer off I had a 150 and completely removed it.
