Hey guys - As the new PB coornidator I want to get an idea of what the membership is looking for in 2012 for PB items. I can come up with ideas all day long but if its something you guys dont need your not going to buy, thats not a good reccipe for a PB.

Sooo, vote for what you would like to see - some are random, others are more specific. And please vote "other" if you have an idea, post it below.

I want to put together a local PB with a sponsor for the Feb Frag swap and would like an idea of what type of things you would buy.

Happy Reefing.

I say filtration media, dosing supplies, and something not listed. SALT.
Even if I have all of them already I know I'll use it all eventually. Can't pass up a deal when it comes along.

I didnt list salt because those are plentiful and easy to put together, and we just came off of one.

I plan to run quarterly buys (pending club approval) for BRS and Salt.

I prefer to give our sponsors a crack at Power Buy items first before we go to online sources, I like to keep the money in GA. I know that is not always going to happen but Id like to try.

Before the Feb frag swap I will be a paying member. I would like to see power buys on brs orders as I could always use stuff from them. Also it would be nice to get a group deal on le corals. I like the ideas so far.

First, there is still time to jump in our the Instant Ocean and Reef Crystals group buy. Great prices. PM me or Jenn if interested.

On the salt issue, while we have one going on, I have noticed a lot of members who use other types of salt. While it may be a while before you would get much response on IO or RC I bet you would get a good response on other salts.

I didn't even know that we could DO multiple choice polls. When I saw the percentages after voting I knew something was up.

I might be interested in doing an LED buy for something like 2 to 4 units x 200 watts (depending on $$).

If it doesn't happen, then maybe an unofficial or just diy.

I plan on doing Salt at a later date.

The other I listed is just more specific on the Fragging supplies. What about a PB/GB (whichever appropriate) on Wet Band Saws, DFS-....... ?

I think the BRS buys are always popular not so much because it is BRS, but because it basically covers all of their products. That format is awesome (though I understand it may be difficult).

I think if you can get LE coral in locally for us that would be fantastic.

I think a brs group buy would be awesome I could use some new filter socks and other odds and ends and fragging supplies. I wouldn't go as far as a band saw but I could use some good coral plugs and some frag racks would be cool too

+2 on keeping the money in Ga

I think something like wet saws is more specialized and could be handled with unnofficial buys among the membership. The last one we only sold around 10 saws I think.

BRS is easy it just takes a little time to set it up. I like that it ships direct.
