Opinions on ATO

Is the water supply hooked up to your RO/DI filter. There are several reasons you should avoid doing this if so. I got my float switches from autotopoff too. :)

What are you hoping to have in your tank? Tapwater generally isn't used for reef tanks containing corals. It will contain all sorts of things that'll feed nuisance algae that are sure to grow under the bright lights. I'm not sure of the chlorine content of your tapwater, but you might also run into problems there.
 
I use the ultra precise top off controller from litermeter... Pretty happy so far
It is pulling water from a 150 g rodi container ... The apex handles the shut down if salinity Gets too low
Or water level gets too high ...

Right now I'm just going with a FOWLR setup. As for the water, I'm not too concerned. I'm on a well that is 600' deep, regular test have always come back as clean as I could hope for; no trace metals at all, less than .2ppm Phosphates etc...
