My sump has a dual intake. Instead if buying a dual overflow box could I just buy two single?

Does your tank have water in it? If not I would drill it as it is way easier and cheaper. But yes you could use 2 seperate but then you might get two seperate drain flow amounts. If your sump has 2 drain inputs does not mean you have to use both.

Ok thank you I thought about drilling it but I still don't understand how that works. I know some people drill the bottom and some the back. What's the difference? Is there a website that will explain?

Usually you can't drill the bottom of a tank, after-market. Bottoms are tempered, hence people drill the back.

Reef-ready tanks are drilled at the manufacturer, then the glass is tempered afterwards.

Thanks Jenn! I did not know about the glass being tempered after the manufacturer drilled the bottom glass. Good Info!
