P.H. problem

I'm having a PH issue with my Biocube. I did a water change 2 days ago, ran my weekly test today. The week before that I ran the test and everything checked out Ammonias 0ppm Nitrates 0ppm Nitrites 0ppm and PH was 8.0.
Now my PH is 8.8 and I can't seem to get it to buffer down. I did a small water change and added some Kent PH buffer, and it didn't work. So now I'm lost and have no idea how to fix the problem. I don't think it's a huge issue but I certainly do not want it to become one.

Any ideas as to what I can do?
 
What are you testing with and how old is it?
Also, what is your alk., calcium and magnesium(if you can test for these)
Also, you can try to increase surface agitation to increase oxygen levels.
All the above can, sometimes, effect Ph levels.
Do you happen to know the PH of your water source? Although, around here it is generally low.

Everything seems to be doing fine, except for my Xenia, frogspawn and my hammer.
None of them are extending like they normally do.

I cannot test for ALK, or Calcium unfortantly.
 
What product did you use? I don't know of any Kent product (or any saltwater product for that matter) to *lower* pH.
