paranoid question

yeah me too. even though he has chosen his 'perch' to be the top of my heater knob......lmao.

he puts his head on the top of the heater, and randomly jumps out and then goes right back haha. weird place to perch, eh?? i'll have to sneak a picture.

he's sleeping vertical again but i don't see any signs of stress. no splotches, no heavy breathing, no...jitters...no anything. guess he's just nervous. he ate just fine though!

I used to have a clownfish host my overflow nightly vertically for along time until they began hosting in my hammer. I wouldn't worry about it if that is where he is sleeping. As for perch spots, they will perch just about anywhere, very cool fish.

yeah for real....him along with an undecided wrasse species are going to be the jewels of my reef. i'd be so sad if he didn't make it

At least he doesn't have a suction cup belly like my Valentini puffer did. That little guy could apparently sleep vertically, head down, with his fat belly squooshed up against the side glass. No idea how he did it, since his wee tiny fins didn't seem to be moving...

My experience with my midas blenny when I first got him was quite similar. He was very scared and would do odd things, now that he is settled in he has several places that he perches himself. I'd have to say that he was an awesome addition to the tank.

I hope yours continues doing well.

My GSM clowns like to sleep vertically next to my heater. I guess its just a low flow area to chill out and go in to sleepy wiggle mode. If I can snap a picture while the lights are on I will. They know EXACTLY when the lights are going out in 2 minutes. They assume sleeping positions just in time for moon lights. They certainly have a better sense of time than I do.

bahahahahahahahahahaha

i cannot WAIT WAIT WAITTTTTTTTTTTTTT to get a picture of this.

my midas has found his ultimate perch. INSIDE of a rock.

theres a tiny hole that he swims backwards into to chill, now. lmao

it's hilarious looking. i thought he jumped out at first. but no. he was front in center in a hole in the rock that is literally fit for his body and not a size smaller or larger.
