Just recieved a brand new Pinpoint PH probe in the mail. I open the package up and it appears as if there is no liquid in the protective cap and salt creep around it's edges. Is this something I should return or is this normal?

It's an older probe, but it should be fine. If it calibrates, I wouldn't worry about it.

all the pinpoint probes I've gotten always arrive like that. I dunno why, but they do calibrate just fine.

As long as the probe was moist and not dry. It should caliibrate and work fine. I've had the same issue with non-pinpont probes and then worked just fine.
