Pickling lime?

anyone ever use this in place of Kalkwasser for calcium?

How can you measure the dose for the pickling lime?

I use 2 Tablespoons per gallon of Top Off water. I got the recipe from Reef Central

I have really never measured my kalk. I just dumped about a cup into the bottom of a 2 liter bottle, fill it up with RO then shake it. When the lime settles on the bottom the kalkwasser is ready.
