Afternoon all!

I recently got this piece from a local sponsor. I was told it was in the Cyphastrea family but I can't find any pictures that resemble this piece. I apologize for the picture quality. It was taken for me a few minutes ago but I'll take a better one later tonight. It looks so unique to me and is VERY bright neon green.

BTW it's the lower green coral. I know what the Blastos are.

Ideas?

Here's another picture. I can't get the camera to focus on it for some reason. I'm thinking because it reflects so much light.

Do you mean encrusting, or plating? Those are rather different growth forms. There is a color variety of Cyphastrea that is greenish blue, so it could be that. However, a clearer picture would be needed to id, I think.

Before I posted this I jumped back and forth trying to figure out which to use. I could be wrong but when I think of encrusting i picture my rainbow monti fixing itself to the rock it's on. I used plating bc it's not attaching itself to anything, just grows out.

This is exactly what I was thinking. It looks very similar to this but could just be a difference i lighting. I tried to get a clearer picture but just couldn't get the camera to focus on it

I found a picture that I think more represents it
