Interesting findings. So it's not necessarily "fines" as previously thought.

How does one know what brands of carbon are lignite or not?

My "rescue" fish have come from a variety of backgrounds - I have no idea whether they used carbon or not, and if so, what kinds. Some of them came from pretty nasty circumstances.

I just started using BRS Lignite. Guess I'll have to shell out for the more expensive ROX
