Is there anyway I can salvage it? Anyway at all. I turned it on for a couple seconds and it was flashing so now I have it in rice. I cannot afford to spend $150 for a replacement right now..

I would take it out of the rice and put it in a countertop toaster ove at like 120/150 ish for a few hours.

Turning it on after it fell in most probably fried it.

Soaking it, unplugged, in RODI or distilled water is going to be your best bet. Dunk it several times and let the water run out between dunks. Then the toaster or regular oven set on warm, no hotter than 120-180 degrees, for several hours.
If it doesn't work after that it's likely toast.

Ok thank you everyone for the advice. It means alot but damnit this sucks!! So when I tried it earlier lights were on and I'm able to do a factory reset however I cannot connect to it. I've read that the wify adapter could have fried... I want to hope for the best but unfortunately my corals need their shine... So does anyone maybe have a spare I can use or buy? We can come up with something. Going on vacation next week so I really didn't need this.

Update. I have dipped a couple times in DI water and have it sitting in rice for 12 hours then I plan to dry in the oven. Does that sound like a good plan?

Have you had experience with the oven dry method? Would rice not work after I have rinsed in DI water? Also should I clean the board with Q tips or anything? Sorry for the load of questions

The goal is to get inside and out completely dry 100%. Rice won't draw any water out of the inside. Best to open as much as possible and use fans and or MILD heat.. Do not apply electricity until no moisture is present.

Ok thanks for the help Steve and everyone else. I'm hoping that its salvageable. Anyone know of any good deals on a new one or like new?

If it was on when it fell it’s probably done. I would try to wipe it with alcohol and revisit in a week after it’s dry. But board is more than likely fried

Aquarium light, no. Cell phone, yes.

If you have gotten it open after the ro water rinse you can also rinse with isopropel alcohol. it will absorb/dilute the water and take most of it as it rolls off the electronics. And then the alcohol evaporates much quicker than water would and is less likely to leave anything behind. Keep in mind that if there is anything that uses glue inside the light the alcohol can soften the glue so make sure its fully evaporated before putting it back together. you can set it in the sunlight to speed up the evaporation process. I’d also advise checking the circuit boards very closely and looking for any corrosion. If you see any try to clean it off before putting it back together.

Electronic parts cleaner is always the best bet. Spray it down cleaner, wipe off any cleanable parts or ypu can justnlet ot evaporate...wait an hour or two and fire it up. Future tip...don't try to turn it back on still wet

I have sent two 32HDs to a guy that does reef equipment repair and I have been happy with the results. I can give the name if you want. Cost me about $140 including shipping to get several LEDs and a board replaced and crap cleaned out of the inside of the light.
