Old thread but saw I was tagged, been offline for a while. That is nowhere near the give up stage, just typical gha. Turbos are bulldozers, urchins are as well, but they work miracles on GHA.
With that much nitrate AND gha your issue is overfeeding**. GHA will suck up nutrients fast so if you are registering nitrates and
Testing Nitrites is generally a waste unless something is way out of whack.
Cut your feeding in half**, add a turbo, and do weekly 10g water changes for 6 weeks. It'll be gone in no time.
**I'm assuming you running a fuge or skimmer, if you are running a canister or bioballs they could be the nitrate source.
