This is probably a stupid question, but since the move up to the 125 with re-cycling and diatoms etc. I have been using Poly-Filters all the time. It has been 10 weeks now and the tank is clear. Do I continue to use the poly or go to another type of filter? If I need to change what filter material would you all suggest?

Please don't say overloaded, I am now raising bristle worms in the DT and Sump to compensate.

Poly filters are good to have on hand just in case your tank gits some toxin from the house in to the tank there is no harm in running them full time but you don't have to

since I have been using them since I started this tank I think I will continue. What size strip should I cut to put into the filter, certainly not as large as I have been using during the mess. 4X12. Thanks, Bubba

If you are going to run them buy the large pad 12x12 it will save you in the long run. I just cut a 1"x12" strip and put a alge clip on each end and stick in the sump so I can see it I'm mainly looking for a shift in color my tank was used as a wishing well a few times found honest Abe and a 149 of his clones in it one time
