Polyps overcrowding my trumpets? What to do

My gsp colony is overcrowding my trumpets, can I cut them back without hurting the individual gsp polyps?

if you can get under an edge of the gsp mat you can just peel it up some and trim some off with a razor.

Most people just nuke the gsp. It's generally considered a pest anyway. You can spread super glue over it and that will kill it or you can put kalk paste on it and that will also kill it. If it's to close to the trumpets...I'd go with the super glue. You can also take a sharp razor blade and scrape it off but if you leave anything behind...it will regrow.
