If you haven’t used it in a few years it most likely wont start. I think some carburetor/fuel line cleaner will do the trick. Not a mechanic.

I run in this all the time, people don't use the generator in their RV for extended periods of time. The Onan generators do not like to sit
Luckily I live in an very old neighborhood with a lot of trees so my power goes out frequently.

My store has 50+ Ryobi 6500 watt generators for $749 if anyone is interested.
I prioritize flow (return pump) over temperature if a choice has to be made. For the last big storm, my 180 got down to 62 degrees over a couple of days and my losses were minimal. Several years before that, I used an inverter on my car like others have mentioned. Not fun, but it's does work if that's the option you have. Stay safe everyone!

My in laws let us borrow their 2000w Honda inverter generator for the tank. Im going to put an amp clamp on the furnace and a few other circuits to see what I can load the little genny up with. Luckily my furnace is 5' away from the tank.
All I have is a truck with a bunch of power outlets, a full tank of gas and extension cords.
I stated it and ran it for about an hour back in December. It’s good
Also budget backup for me- drop this baby in the display, dual outlets battery powered then I can usb c to a charging bank if need be,

I used to use this model too before I got a generator. It works great.
I have something similar, just a different t brand. I think it has saved my tank twice during 6-12+ hour outages. One time I had to heat up water and float it in the tank to keep the tank warm. We got this yall!
Good morning ARC. How’s everyone doing? We got “light” (1/2-1in ice) in Athens.. no power outages for me so far

We're good in Canton so far, only 1/4" or so of ice but a second storm front is coming this afternoon so let's hope it isn't the straw that breaks the camel's back.
