So for those of you who I haven’t met before, my name is Brandon. I’m a physical therapist and just purchased my first home last year in October, so of course I started planning for a big tank. I spent 6 months waiting for a tank to be built by one company, and ended up having to go through a PayPal dispute for a refund (successfully thankfully), and have since made an order for a 610g 130x30.5x36.5” 3/4” glass tank that I should have in the next few weeks!

Below is where I built the stand for the other tank, and added around it for the upgrade to the 610g. This will be a long build process, as my current 240g frag tank is full of large colonies that I will have to move over.

I will definitely be reaching out for help to bring the tank from the driveway to the living room in about 2-3 weeks if anyone would be willing to help!! Tank weighs approx 1200lbs empty

Man that's a heavy tank! If your close to Acworth I could lend a hand.

Everyone will need your physical therapy help after lifting that baby!!! What a project! You have waited a long time for this, I am excited for you! Can't wait to see it all come together for you!

I’m in braselton, and I’ve definitely been thinking about using both straps and suction cups

You are not too far from me, probably 30 minutes at most; I live near the Buford Dam. I don't know how much of that 1200lbs I can lift, but as long as you have a lot of people, I can try to help.

Thanks! I’m certainly hoping to get as many hands on it as possible

So we were able get this beast off the trailer and into the garage where it will sit while I finish up painting the back glass.

We will be planning to move it inside to the stand this weekend, likely Sunday

Picked up a bunch of great dry rock from a member and spent a day stacking and rinsing sand. Total of about 380lbs of sand and roughly 200lbs of dry rock. The tricky part is that my current tank is full of live rock covered in large colonies that I will try to fit into the base structure.

200GPD BRS 4 stage RODI with booster pump has been running for a little over 12 hours now, and making some good progress on filling the tank. 3 boxes of live aquaria brand salt for the initial fill up!

Looking good Brandon!

It's amazing how these huge tanks don't compare in scale in pics vs seeing them in person.

Thanks! 11’ of tank looks so small in pictures. Next up is finishing off the plumbing. Need to get some 1.5” pvc for the drains

Not a whole lot to update, but tank is full of rock and saltwater. Plumbing is glued in for the display and frag tank. All together is approx 800g!

Next step is fixing the leaks in the plumbing. Schedule 40 pipes didn’t seal as well as I’d hoped in the schedule 80 bulkheads so I’m gonna silicone the leaks shut. Might not b we pretty but it’ll be functional.

The system is starting to look like something finally! Ordered and hung 2x 32” reef breeders photon V2+ LEDS to complete the display once the other lights are moved over. I plan on purchasing the V2+ upgrade kit for my other lights.

Garage frag tank has a few tester corals, for almost a week now and still showing good polyp extension and no signs of stress so far.

While I continue to frag and sell off some of my current corals, I’ll move things over slowly until I can move another LED off the old display and onto the new one.

Hopefully Ill get to build my frag rack soon for the frag tank as I hope to get a little more into fragging for trades and grow out

Little bit of an update as I’ve added some corals and fish to the frag tank and display!
