pump upgrades!!

so okay....My mag 5 pump goes out right. i check it and nub inside the impellar that nestles against the main shaft is broke right? So I use waterproof epoxy to permantly seal the shaft to the impellar and WHAL AH!!
Im pretty sure I just gained about 25 gph more to my pump than before because my returns have never kicked like this before...dunno but just thought id share this .

Interesting... Keep an eye on the rubber gromets on either end of the shaft--they are going to wear a lot faster now, probably. I've found this to be the case a couple times when my shaft siezed up inside the impeller from calcium deposits but kept on spinning away. I don't think the rubber is meant to withstand the shaft spinning with the impeller indefinitely...

no no...the internal shaft is free spinning...the magnet shaft and the plastic impellar are whats bonded.
