So..we started out thinking about like a 55 g reef tank. Watched some videos and were convinced bigger was better (wondering right now what we were thinking!)
Now I have a fish QT that is nearly as big as the DT we were originally contemplating plus a 13g coral QT that was originally our fish QT (no copper).
So we went from wanting a 55 gallon reef to having a yet to be set up 125 g DT, a large rack taking up a corner of my kitchen (please don't judge my ugly kitchen, was supposed to be painted by now but you know how that goes lol)
I have 2 little clowns in the bottom tank but they hang out near the top in the back corner. Nothing in the upper tank yet but getting our first 2 frags Friday afternoon and hopefully a few more on Sunday!
Of course as always, any thoughts, suggestions, etc are appreciated!

Looking good! (except for the ugly kitchen paint - ouch!! ; )

Seriously, I am SO jealous!! As soon as I set up my "puny" 48 gallon DT, I found an 85 that would have worked perfectly. Oh well - everything (including the stand) is oversized to accommodate an upgrade later on...

SO happy for you!!

Thanks Ron! Kitchen is baby poop colored. I bought a 5 gallon bucket of beautiful gray paint. My husband decided that the perfectly neutral beige living room needed to be painted first then never did the kitchen. Maybe after his back heals I’ll be able to convince him to do it...though having these tanks up will complicate that!
