QT'ing multiple fish at once?

I just picked up a 20L and small HOB filter for a QT setup. I have a huge bag of bio media in my sump which I'll bring into the QT, and have a small koralia for flow & heater and some PVC fittings for hiding spots. So my QT setup should be complete.

My next additions ideally would be a small OC clown, 2 medium sized bangaii cardinals and a yellow tang.

Assuming I picked up all of these from the same (reputable) LFS, is there any problem in QT'ing these guys together? Obviously it would be a bigger risk than QT'ing 1-2 fish at a time, but I just wanted to see if I was setting myself up for failure.

Draw backs as I see them are as follows:

1. Will they fight each other in a small tank?
2. One has something they all will have it.
3. Clock doesn't start ticking until the last fish is in.
4. They are not in my QT

Yep - that about covers it.

The only thing I'd add is that it's better to QT them all, than only "some" or "one". I'd rather deal with one sick and possible carriers of whatever, in a QT, than that sinking feeling when one gets sick and the rest are already in the display.

The only potential issue I see is with the tang in a 20 with other fishes - it might get a bit antsy - but if it's a fairly small specimen, it will be OK for a while, IMO.

Make sure to keep an eye on the water quality as well - putting 5 fish into a small, new tank poses its own potential issues but if you are using established biological media, you should be OK as long as you are on your toes with it.

Thanks for the comments. They're pretty much exactly along the lines of what I thought.

I'll get them all at once from a reputable source so I "shouldn't" have any problems, but will still QT them to make sure. And yep, I'm shooting for a small yellow tang. Anything of size or known aggressive personality will have it's own QT cycle.
