Random pic of the day thread

lol... Tony’s right, the minute I saw him I knew he was coming home with me!

But, I still say Tony’s a bad influence at the fish store, at least that’s what I tell my wife. As far as she knows, he talked me into the 3 headed gold Aussie torch from Simon too. :D

Dave, this picture is stunning! What is the purple carpet like stuff on the rocks?

That @NanCrab is Coraline.
That’s what I want but I have ugly brown diatoms instead. It looked like something else to me but after you said that I zoomed in and see it is algae . Thanks Zap! So bummed we aren’t going to see the food demo and get some! Hopefully next month.

That has to be the worst case of Ich I have ever seen.. J/K. Beautiful fish.

lol... he’s recovering nicely though.

He has had it a little rough though. He was in my 10 Gal QT for about a week and then the front glass got broken when I wasn’t home. Made a huge mess! My wife and son did good though and got him to my main display tank right after it happened. Luckily he’s been doing good and no one has had any issues.

Thank you! :) Like Zap said, it’s coraline algae. I have to scrap it off the back wall of the tank from time to time. Next time I do, I need to save some in a ziplock for you for when your tank really gets going. Seeding it works, I’ve done it many times. I could probably meet you half way, unfortunately we’ve made several trips to Auburn for our somewhat handicap Great Pyrenees, so we’re very familiar with the drive.
