Not crying here one bit, not even a smidgeon

grew it from a frag about a year ago and it decides to stn from the center for no reason over the course of 2-3 weeks....going to my corner for a bit and will be right back

I’ve had similar STN happened to one of the colonies. I quickly fragged it in to several peaces. Some died but most survived. Any plans for fragging it?

yup. tossed away a good chunk but made a couple frags. just need one of them to survive and we are game again.

Sweet I hope it makes it. I am curious why this happens. One theory is the lack of flow in the middle of the colony. If something microscopically small - “bad” settles there may cause coral to lose its zoox algae.
 
Got a chocolate tang today from NYAquatics its really nice but the other two fish 1x lyretail anthias and 1x exquisite fairy wrasse are really tiny like i cant find them in my 55G QT unless i look really hard tiny i hope they make it through QT i hate getting really small fish i dont have much success with small fish

was working near nemos on 78 today decided to stop in and saw this naso tang before i knew it i had my credit card out total impulse buy :( also picked up a nice button coral

Appreciate it... definitely a work in progress. Not sure why the filters make my rock look like it’s a cyano purple color, the new growth on it is actually green under white lights and charcoal under blues. I get the same effect from the black sand. :rolleyes:
