I am using this stuff and I love the results. Other than the initial calculation via weight to achieve the desired salinity I have nothing but good things to say about this product. It dissolves very rapidly, and the parameters listed on the container were dead on for me. Is anyone else using this product? If so lets hear your feed back. Thanks!

I use it. I like it pretty good. I really don't remember what my results from my other salt I used before was. But I'm going to continue to use it until a cheaper alternative comes along.

Been using for about 2 months now. My make up water is spot on with the parameters for me as well. Switched from salinity and have seen a turn around in the tank. Colors are back, no diatom and growth like crazy.

I'm tempted to try it once I am done with these boxes of reef crystals.

I have no prob with reef crystals. It has been a very consistent and good salt. Since I have been using it, I've had no algae, no swings and no crashes. I advocate it and will continue to use io or RC on my 210.

As for my sps tank... When I first started it(in my 50g) I started using a mix of the brightwell's neomarine and the tropic Marin bio-activ. Man, did I get some outstanding colors!!! Growth was great too. I used and eheim canister and a hang on skimmer. At the time, space and money were huge issues, so I went cheap and small. I fought algae, I don't know if that can be blamed on the salt, but colors were fantastic.

When I moved, and upgraded to the cube, I used up the last of my neomarine making water for the initial set up and switched to RC. Every thing has adjusted and has began to take off in growth, but the color is gone. There is something missing. There are so many variables, that I cannot blame a salt. I've recently began dosing trace elements and some amino acids. I've notices a FEW colors getting better.

Maybe red sea pro can fix that missing link. I only hear good things about it.

I used 2 buckets of this in my Solana and have since switched to Salinity mainly because the Red Sea was out of stock when I went to the LFS. I have yet to notice a difference between the two.

Red sea coral pro 55gal bucket is 30$
Reef crystals 200gal box is 50$.

petsolutions normally has red sea pro for very reasonable and free shipping after $49. I bought a few buckets once it was $50 per bucket shipped free.

I just switched. I like the way my corals responded, but I did not like the precipitation. I think that it should be used 30mins-1hr after mixing. The precipitation didn't seem to hurt anything, just annoying.

Are you noticing the precipitation in your make up water or your tank water? I'm using this as well and have some annoying particles/ micro bubbles in my display. Just curious if this is where it is coming from.

Thanks

The precipitation was in my mixing barrel. Instead of letting it mix an hour or so, I ended up letting it mix for about 9 hrs. The water cleared up pretty quickly after adding to my display, and all the corals seemed to swell and open up. They look really nice today too.

Thank you for clearing that up. I was curious...gotta find where the precipitation or bubbles are coming from.

I use it and love it. Salinity sucks. I had so much red slime when I used salinity. Couldn't be happier with with red sea.

I'm pretty sure I'll continue using this stuff. I still advocate IO and RC as well.
