Redbugs.

Nope they get it too. I am sure you are talking about crabs and shrimp, right?

I've lost a few acro crabs & a couple of shrimp....

which dosing method are you using?

I suggest the two dose methos as opposed to one, and 3.....

Everytime that I did the one dose method, a couple of months later they were back......

Relly, how far apart did you do your dose?

Did a dose for 200 gal and I have about 200 gal.

So you think I should treat it again in a week?

Edit: I will let this "simmer" for a few days before I do anything else. I will not add carbon back to the tank tonight, I will wait a while.

:yessign:

I did a treatment few years back when I had my 55 gallon. Nobody said to take things out. It was a nightmare

I had to treat for redbugs. Did not lose any crabs or shrimp. If you dose just enough to kill very small Crustacean you will be able to avoid killing the larger ones like crabs, shrimps and large pods

Carbon is now back on line, 48 hrs. All blue leg hermits dead. Mysis pods ok, shrimp ok.

I am going to dose the tank again tonight at about 5 pm. This time I will let it "simmer" for 24 hours then do a 25-30 gal water change, add carbon and put my skimmer back in.
I hope this will be the end of the redbugs.
In a day or two after carbon is back online I will treat my purple tang with Kanaplex. I do not want to mix the meds and I did not notice the tang till after the first dose of interceptor. Sound good?
