Never bought the 200 gal box before.It was on sale for a good price last week.And it got delivererd to the house the other day.So Im filling up my 180 with ro water, going slow.I see i have 5 bags in the box.So i figure 40lb bags.I was only going to put 160 gal of water in, so i could do some rock scaping.Wrong.Each bag is 50 gal.Why they call it a 200 gal box if it makes 250.:doh:

It is 200 gal at a higher salinity than we normally keep.

They usually have 4, 50-gallon bags... you sure you got 5?

I get 4 bags in a box. You lucked up.

Yup, you got luck on someone else's screw up. They are normally (4) 50 gallon bags. I mix mines to 1.027 and I only get about 40 gallons with a bag. I dump the whole bag into a 44 gallon brute and fill it up to about 3-4 inches from the top and it hits 1.027 spot on every time.

Hey it's ok you can give to me seriously though there's supposed to be only 4 bags in a box and they each do make 50 gallons at 1.026 for me

Yes, 5 bags.My total system is 205 gal.I have not opened the 5th bag yet.I have got over 180 mixed and still bringing the salinty down.
