good morning everyone,
This may sound like a stupid question, but I ordered a refuguim plant package w/copepods from REEFS2GO and was going to setup a small 8 gal. tank to keep them in. But if i decide against it can I had them directly to my DT? If I had them to my DT and if some of the pods survive will they reproduce? Thanks (stupid) Mike:blush:

What livestock do you currently have? If you have a mandarin, trigger, wrasse, or anything that eats pods, those 250 pods won't last long at all. LOL... But, yes, pods can live in a DT. I had thousands until I added my livestock. I'm sure there may be some left, but, they are not visible and probably hiding in the rocks somewhere...

Also: Are you sure you want the plants that come in that refugium plant pack growing in your DT. It'll survive, perhaps too well and will probably grow everywhere...

If it were me, I'd do the separate tank, and dunk some of the plants in the DT and shake it until some of the pods come out, then return it to the separate tank...

Best of luck!!!

I was going to put just a few plants in the DT and the rest in the small tank. The tank i plan on doing this in is a 10gal tank and has 2 ocellaris clowns, lt nem, and 4 small pieces of coral. LED lights w/moonlights. thanks Cedz.

Np. You should be fine. The clowns will prob eat some of the pods, but, if you have enough LR for them to hide in some will survive and possibly multiply...
