replacing glass pane

I just bought a tank and now it appears there is a crack in the corner of one of the panes of glass, has anybody removed one pane and replaced it with a new one successfully? Where do you get the glass? It’s 8mm glass and a rimless tank so I don’t think it would be super hard to do if I could get a new pane the right size

local glass company wanted $150, glasscages will do it for $50 but I still feel like that’s a lot for an 18x18 piece of glass. May be better off getting a different tank for the stand but I can’t find a drilled 18” cube anywhere.

Seems like a lot, but if it works..have you looked at just a 20g tank

Try a different local glass company. When I needed some custom tops for my freshwater 75g I had a local glass company in Suwanee cut me four pieces of 1/4" glass for $10 per piece. Beveled edges and all.
