right light setup?

U can get a used fixture for much less. and better quality too with more bulbs.

Do you have any coral yet? If not take some time and build up some quality rock anda few fish. Use regular flourecent lighting with bulbs suited to the color you want and wait until you spot something on here someone is selling used cheap. Also alot of people will send you replies in the want to buy section. Just give it a little time and get what will make you and your livestock happy in the long run.
Also some coral can even be kept under these reg light setups with good water quality
and proper placement to start out with

reef clentral gives no help... can you tell which forum and what i need to look for to find this thread?
 
Look some more on here. You will be suprised at the deals you will find in the next week or two.
If $$ is an issue get some vho's for actinics and do fish and lr only. Later upgrade slowly even if it is one halide at a time to grow corals
