Which scape do you like the best? As always, I'm open to suggestions and recommendations. I certainly have my favorite thus far between the two, but sometimes an outside opinion and eye can make a huge diffrence. Go easy on me, it's my first time (that's what she said LOL).

I think it's unanimous LOL.

Would any of you add more rock?

Also, is it a good practice to use egg crate on the bottom of the DT to protect the glass or does this cause a build up of detritus?

Edit: Thanks for all the feedback ladies and gents!

Wouldn't egg crate under sand bring the same problems that under gravel filters do? That's just a thought but then again I don't know much :)

The egg crate will trap nasty stuff. Set the rock on the glass first then add sand. That way if you get a sand sifter they don't tunnel under the rock.

I like number 1 but I'd add more rock. My rockscape is "similar" and I wish I had more rock.

THe rock will act as a natural filter as well as holding more beneficial bacteria. Though I have seen very successful tanks with very little rock. At that point, it's purely aesthetics and what you want to look at :)
