Smaller wives are more forgiving of the hobby? j/k

Its simple really......Honey, I NEED all of this stuff to have the best aquarium possible. Don't you want me to have the best? Its like when you NEEDED that pair of black shoes. You already had 5 pairs of black shoes.....BUT you NEEDED them. Besides sweetie....its one less bathroom that would need cleaning. And.....you know, in most homes in other countries, they ONLY have one bathroom. Its actually space saving, sweetie. I'm utilizing a space that wasn't truly being used on a daily basis, instead of creating an eye sore elsewhere. And look at my use of space saving shelves.......I love you, honey. :D

If all else fails, breakfast in bed with a single long stemmed rose could help.

I would be killed in my sleep if she came home and saw that...

(but then again, I added a utility sink and 55gal FW storage tank in the garage and she thought it was a great idea.. LOL)

The out is.....its a spare bathroom. The shower curtain can be pulled when company comes. And the toilet is still in use, which is what the guest bath is generally for anyways.

And....you end that with, and just think of it sweetheart, all of my buddies will think you are the coolest chick out of all of the wives and girlfriends. They will realize, what I already know.

Again....follow this with breakfast in bed and a long stemmed rose on her tray. Oh....and maybe since we are really spreading it THICK, a foot massage while watching some chick flick with her on the couch on Friday night instead of hanging with the guys.

Thanks guys I was able to shuttle 7G of warm saltwater 911 style at 10pm last week to a clubmember so I think she appreciates the community service aspect of the room as well (i think). Anyway so far so good.

Your reef storage area is nothing compared to mine. I have totally taken over the bathroom in the basement.

Empty buckets of salt.
3 new buckets of Salinity.
1 bucket of SW with a couple pieces of LR that I didn't have room in my tanks at the time but wasn't going to let it die.
My RO/DI unit along with a 40 gallon drum to make SW.
Test kits, pumps, additives and anything else needed.

Currently it's about as big of a disaster as it can be. Oh and then the mirror let go off the wall about a year ago so now there isn't even a mirror. Just this empty space with the black goo that's suppose to hold the mirror in place. :lol2:

I bought my house based on where the aquarium is going to be placed.

LOL, thats what I'm doing on the next one. Kinda like the kohler commercial, I'm walking in the builder with a huge aquarium and telling them I want a house built around it.

Nice!

Wow, I need to show my wife this thread. Then maybe, just maybe, she won't think I'm quite as nuts. :)

brian

our women never stop thinking we are nuts bro.
our friends only prove her worries even more.
see, our friends are away from their wives so they can act a little
more lose than normal. all that does is prove that we will one
day be just as bad as them if she doesnt do something to corect our path.
little does she know, we are already there when shes not around. lol

Update:
I have relocated to a ground floor loft apartment to be able to increase my tank size/quantity. Good news is the laundry room is HUGE and my water tower has plenty of space and the washer hook ups and drain came in handy. Who needs a washer and dryer anyway?

How do you think we picked our floorplan for the apt. complex? And I STILL "HAD" to get a 92 corner to make it work... Now just by chance we ended up with 2 great places for tanks. :yay:
