sad silver xenia?

In my tank I have 2 stalks of silver waiving hand xenia that for a few weeks have not had their full "open" look to them. No other coral in the tank shows any sign of stress and the other species of xenia I have also are doing just fine...any ideas?

Water might be too clean, or something may be eating them.

I feed twice a day and have no skimmer or sump; so option A is unlikely...lol. I will look out for someone picking at them. Thanks
