It started a few days ago, the pump is trying to ramp up for a few seconds then it flashes orange and red and resets. This repeats in a cycle and from what I'm reading it's the dry side that's gone bad. I tried cleaning the wet side and swapped it with the other one and same results. Moved from 1/2 glass setting to the next thicker step and the same.

Anybody had any luck repairing a dry side? I just looked and they're over $200 new

$200 for a new replacement dry side? Really? Have you tried contacting echotech? There really good at helping. They sent me two new wets sea because both of mines were making noises. They'll try and work with you if you give them a call

Yeah except these are like 5 years old original ones. I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say it was too late today

I remember reading that, I ordered the bearings for under $20 it's worth a shot. I just hope that's what went bad with it and not something less DIY friendly.

while your in there check for any rubbing on the plastic from the rotating assembly. They told me it sometimes happens and causes alot of noise, not you case but might as well check while your in there. Kinda seems to me like a bearing might be getting hot and trying to lock down and the software catching it. I really dont have any idea but on other applications I've seen bearings be ok untill speed up to speed and then they will lock up, After a minute or so they would realease and act normal again.

i had an OLD ONE that went bad.. they just up and replaced it .

While I was on the phone with them I realized it's the power supply about to go bad, swapped it with the other one and it's confirmed pump is working fine. Anybody wants to trade 2 sets of bearings for a new power supply?
