I know many ppl say skimmers aren't as effective on small systems like mine and that a weekly 20% wc is best but id prefer to have one if I can fit it in to chamber 1 or 3 or shallow in 2 (cheato and some rubble in 2)
Any advice on what fits good / what works well would be appreciated . The only one I'm familiar with a little is the CPR but I think it may not work with my macro algae in 2nd compartment.

Aquatic Life 115 fits in chamber 1, barely.

Thanks , thats one of the models I had considered for it.
Do you know much about that skimmer personally ?

Run it in mine. Takes a while to break in and can be finicky to dial in. Once it is dialed in though it seems to do a decent job. The skimmate has always been on the wet side though.

Thankyou stang.
Goes along with most iv read about them , the only bad reviews iv seen seems like the writers were burned from day one , they saw its junk and has Never worked correctly maybe they never set it up correctly or just got a bad unit idk.
I see the cup is on the small side how often do you dump it.

Edit:

Couple of times a week. Not a big deal. By the way, the small cup size is a blessing in the BC29 if you have a cover. I can close my hood completely.
