what are your top 3 choices of lights with no expense...that you would use on a solana.

I love my Solaris.....even though I just caught up on the PFO patent issues. Still is one of the most amazing lights out there!

what was the issue?? and i was looking at those. i think if i go LED i'm gonna go with the maxspect G2 though. so....CLEAN! and smooth looking. looks like a good buy.

i was also thinking the 24" outerorbit 1x250w MH + 4xt5ho + 12 LED's sounded nice

Google for PFO and Orbitech. PFO (makers of the Solaris) are now out of business.

Shame too - PFO was a good company.

I won't buy anything made by Ortbitech.

I too love my Solaris. Ive been running it for 3 years now and its still going good. Although you cant get Solaris anymiore you should check out Ecoxotic (spelling?). They have one on display up at Marine Fish and it doesnt have the blank spots in the paneling that Solaris did. Also the bulbs arent driven as hard so supposedly they would last longer.

blank spots in the paneling??? what's that mean?? you mean blank spots to add on cree xpg's or something???

i was looking at the maxspect g2 cause it has those huge 30w LED's in the middle. looks intense if there picture comparison of 4xt5vs mh+actinics vs maxspect G2 is accurate. it looks stronger than 250mh's and actinics by a long shot.

i want the best visual look while still incorporating growth bulbs. i was THINKING of getting an 8x ATI but gosh is it expensive for the extra 2 bulbs over the nova extreme pro. i want to think it's over double the price of the nova pro. can't remember.

anyways, anyone chime in on what they've used on their solana.
