Anybody have any ideas on how to leave town for a week and not have an empty tank when I get back?

I already have a timer for my light and I will cut back the lighting time to reduce evaporation, but what do I do for feeding, etc.?

Thanks.

Pay your neighbor in beer to watch the tank :)

Seroiusly, no way would I leave a tank unattended for a week....

your in a good area where there are a lot of club members, I'ld offer a few frags to have someone watch your tank, or get someone you trust.

Yes defently get someone who knows what to do and when to do it. Or if you did ask a neighbor write everything down that they need to do with detailed instructions and try to packet everything to make it easy for them. I was once gone for a week and wrote everything down for a friend to take care of my tank and did little bundle of what should be put into the tank and when. Tried to avoid things that would require waiting a long time. If you have someone that knows what they are doing, they should be fine with general instructions. My friend leaves town often and she give me a key to take care of her tank. Since I have knowledge then I can assist when needed, i.e. she had some red algae so i was able to treat the tank for her while she's gone.

If you don't have many frags, offer free medical treatment and advice for a year, lol.

There's too many helpful people on here that know their stuff and would be glad to help someone in need. We all take trips and vacations, so we all understand the need for someone competent to watch over our tanks. So, in turn, we are all glad to help each other out when we can.

All you have to do is just ask.
