Amongst all those old items we're clearing out, dusting off the corners, changing filters, etc., I thought I might remind everyone not to neglect your ATO!
They mostly get ignored until they stop working, and we (okay, I) probably tend to forget about it except to fill it up once in a while... much less those of us whose ATO's are already being filled automatically.
So, even if you've got a clear ATO container - and ESPECIALLY if you've got an improvised one like the 5 gallon bucket I'm using - maybe take some time to empty it out, scrub it down (I was a bit surprised at the funk that had collected in the last 12 months, tbh), and clean out that pump: I suspect your checking account might just thank you for it.
Anyone have any other suggestions of something commonly neglected that perhaps ought to be done at least once a year, like cleaning pumps and powerheads?
