How should I set up my pumps to give my sps the right amount of flow? Do I want to aim the pumps at the sps or just in the general area? I only have two pieces right now but am about to purchase several other pieces and I want to have the flow right before I put them in.

You really want to refrain from aiming your powerheads etc directly at any coral. However, it's nearly impossible for us to recreate what a coral is experiences in a natural environment. Think about the massive volumes of water that makes a wave, and then realize that a lot of coral experiences that every few seconds.

You want the polyps to be gently flowing in the current. You don't want so much current that you're ripping the flesh from the coral's skeleton.

It's hard to describe in a post, but generally you want to move the water in the general area. Again, use the movement of the polyps to determine how much water is being moved. You want them to be gently moving. Moving back and forth is even better...

all sps are different sum like strong direct curent others passive plase the coral in difrent spots till you find a spot that makes the polops fully extend

Thank you for the info I will play around with spots until I find that sweet one
