My Aquamaxx HOB-1 skimmer has been running for a couple of weeks now. It's finally producing some decent skimmate. Took a while to break in. Overall I am happy with it. Pump is quiet, but there is some noise from the bubbles at the top. Start up is no issue (huge issue with my old Deltec MCE 300). The build quality seems very good. Sturdy/thick/blue acrylic for the skimmer body. I love the overflow feature, won't flood the floor if it goes crazy.

Joker's are my favorite Acans as well, but I haven't been able to find any. I got a nice frag of Kryptonite Acans that are similar, but still not the same.
