I installed a Aquamedic Oceanlight fixture in my 90gal's canopy. It has (2) Giesemann 14.5k 250W DE and (2) T-5's, Giesemann Pure Actinic +. I have not used the halides for over 100 hours, so I know that they probably haven't burnt in yet, but the color is off. It's too white, when the halides are on you can't tell that there are actinics in the fixture what so ever. i have thought about adding two T-5 retros in the canopy but space is real tight. I only have about 2 1/2" in the front and rear of the fixture and I would have to relocate my Lunar Sim LED's. I have been searching the internet this morning for details on T-5 reflectors, but most sites do not include the width of the reflectors. Can anyone break out a tape measure who has either Ice Cap or Tek reflectors?

Thanks for the assist folks!

My icecap reflectors are 2 5/8" so you should be able to squeeze one in the front and one in the back. Someone on here, I believe it was Cameron, said the icecaps are a little less wide than the Tek so I would go with icecap.

you should be able to do it then grab the reflector and point them at an angle towards the halids to wash out the white color.....you can also change the color of the pure actinic to actinic plus cause the pure actinic just sucks imo

The thinnest "quality" reflector is the older Tek reflectors at approx. 2.5". The IceCap SLRs are a bit wider and the Tek 2 a bit wider than the IceCaps.
