Somehow my Apex lost connectivity to my EB8s. Despite the fallback and set being "off," the chiller stayed on. I had yet to hook up a heater because I hadn't needed one. I have restored connectivity with EB8s and have ordered a ranco controller as a fail safe. The thing that really gets me is that I pulled the suffering clowns not knowing what was going on and wanted them out of what seemed to me to be their misery. I used my tongs to get them out and never even touched the water. This was at 4:00 AM. My immediate thought was brook since I had added a bluespot a few weeks prior. I laid in bed wondering what the heck was going on. I got back up and went into the room that he chiller is in and heard it running, then it hit me. I immediately unplugged it and plugged a heater in. I just got home from the gym and the anthias seem to be "waking up." I even more mad now that I could have unnecessarily ended the clowns life. A hard lesson learned, I guess...
Oh man! That totally sucks. Been there done that. Single points of failure always kick your arse. So sorry... ugh.
