Tank Crash@#$@#

Somehow my Apex lost connectivity to my EB8s. Despite the fallback and set being "off," the chiller stayed on. I had yet to hook up a heater because I hadn't needed one. I have restored connectivity with EB8s and have ordered a ranco controller as a fail safe. The thing that really gets me is that I pulled the suffering clowns not knowing what was going on and wanted them out of what seemed to me to be their misery. I used my tongs to get them out and never even touched the water. This was at 4:00 AM. My immediate thought was brook since I had added a bluespot a few weeks prior. I laid in bed wondering what the heck was going on. I got back up and went into the room that he chiller is in and heard it running, then it hit me. I immediately unplugged it and plugged a heater in. I just got home from the gym and the anthias seem to be "waking up." I even more mad now that I could have unnecessarily ended the clowns life. A hard lesson learned, I guess...

Oh man! That totally sucks. Been there done that. Single points of failure always kick your arse. So sorry... ugh.

After you get everything settled and if you feel like a trip come on by and I break out the coral snips you are welcome to frags of most anything that is in my tank, it won't replace your finned friends but maybe a restart might help.

Love it when good people like you do wonderful things like this.

Sucks to look at an empty tank and with all the time we dump into these things, we shouldn't have to dump money in twice ;-)

Besides I hate feeling bad when something dies, it's the least I can do. Hopefully someone would do the same.

Well that sucks! Sorry to hear!
(I just went through the opposite issue without a controller........)

Must be contagious.....went downstairs to check on my tanks and one of my powerheads fell off and landed in the sand..........quite a mess. Maybe we should split a lottery ticket.
