Sadly they weren't able to save the livestock, not sure why the turtles weren't able to make it, but they probably became soup....

That poor guy standing in front if the tank was in for a surprise.

Did I see an MRC logo on that tank??? Jk!

Yeah I can't imagine a huge sheet of glass with thousands of gallons of water behind it would feel good in the face

It ALWAYS crosses my mind. Crap man, I can't look at my own tank and not envision it exploding.

Link how I felt when I filled my 124 and 2 minutes later the center brace broke. But, the one I made seems to do the job nicely. :-).

I hate it when that happens.

I've worked on a tank (150g) that had a MacGyvered center brace and I had the customer sign a liability waiver in case that happened. It didn't (whew) and he eventually replaced the tank... but we lived in fear of that happening.

It happened to Todd (Washowi) back in 2003 or 2004 - 55 acrylic tank. Christmas Eve at 5:30 PM. They heard a "crack" and then a "sploosh". I worked late that year... (no he didn't buy it from me LOL).
