It says next to features: "Aquarium"...

Hope they don't get sued for patent infringement...

not to mention there are no reflectors.. I would say not enough light.. now if you put a reflector on each bulb.. ya it would work great

oh.. and those are cheapo LED's.. not the nice ones.. so I doubt it would penetrate very deep

Umm,

LEDs and reflectors?
They generate directional light anyway - a reflector would maybe help 0,001%

They're LEDs. As long as the wide angle is around 30-45 degrees, I don't think you'd see any improvements from a reflector.

I think the first one is the better panel.

But I like the white and blue of the second panel.

I sure would be curious to see how much light these really put out.

I would be worried about the kelvin.

Kelvin Shmellvin.....

LED's usually put out very white light....... I wish I had the mony to throw around. OHand they also offer a blue/white version of the first I linked to, I'll see if I can find it.....

This light wouuld be to illuminate a 20+/- cube

The ebay store in your first link has a blue/white board that is 12 - 14000k

Wow.

Also I wonder how one of the red grow lights would work as a fuge light.

I think this has possibilities.

Just buy a string of led christmas lights. Their much cheaper and you'll get more of them.

Oh ye of little faith..........

People should always post stuff like this on or slightly after the 1st and 15th of each month - not kinda in between LOL

Yep... the PAR meter is always missing in action as only a few people get to use it. There have been numerous lists but it never gets around to those who have asked for months and months...

if you really wanted to get cheap LED's this light is around the $200 for any lenght, Sun-Brite. look it up on youtube and you see it being tested with a par meter.
