Last night while i was asleep one of my idiot friends unplugged my heater for some reason. this morning when i got up the digital thermometer said 76.5. I plugged my heater back in and its set to 79 but it wont stay on long enough to warm the water back up to 79. I put my old light on there along with the LED to try to produce more heat to get the temp back up to 79. As long as the temp doesnt get below 70 it should be okay correct? Though 79 is the ideal temp? So i guess my main question is how accurate are digital thermometers?

76 is on the low end of the range I run my tank ( it automatically adjusts based on the time of the year) so I think the temp is not a problem. And a 3 degree drop is not all that bad. You should be fine.
