temp spike... need help.

my temp went from 78 to 81 without any reason... all my coral looking mush and sad.. i turned the heater down... but can you guys please give me any suggestions?

I would test your water thats not that big of a jump.

Change some water. 3 degrees shouldn't do anything though. Just change some water.

That's not too bad of a spike I'm sure everything will be fine. Bring it back down slow.

what are your water parameters? anyone doing any household cleaning around the tank? there could be a ton of reasons outside of the temp change.

Temp swing from 78-81 should not cause a huge problem...especially if it was gradual. Check water parameters...

that is normal for me. however i noticed my temp at 95 yesterday which is 5-7 above normal. some kenya closed up but that was it. its all back to normal today.
